Headaches can be a real pain and sometimes, dehydration could be a contributing factor to headache.   • Electrolyte balance: Electrolytes are vital minerals that we lose through sweat, like salt and potassium. Try drinking beverages with electrolyte as it could also help with dehydration.
  • Avoid triggers: Certain triggers like caffeine, alcohol and sugary drinks can worsen dehydration headache. Try to avoid these substances until you’re fully hydrated.
  • Take OTC pain relievers: Taking medicine such as Sudrex headache and fever could help manage the problem in the long run but ensure enough water is taken.
  • Rest: On a hot day, if you experience a dehydration headache, locate a cool, shaded area to rest and drink water until you feel well enough to resume exercise or other activities.
